The carnival was a big event each year before Lent which a lot of people liked to go to. People would also have parties and dress in costumes for the Masquerade. Other things that people did during their free time during the Renaissance include: festivals, sporting events, and games such as chess, checkers, and backgammon.
What did the schools look like?The Renaissance era school classroom looked like a nicer modern day school classroom. The teacher was up front and the students, mostly boys, were sitting in desks. School was mostly for the wealthier people. Grammar and arithmetic were the most taught subjects in the Renaissance era schools, but there were also other subjects taught as well.

What did the entertainment look like?The Carnival was an outside activity where people would hang out with friends and do a variety of things. They also had jousting, played games, sang, and played instruments.
